Happy Friday my friends!
I often get asked how how many times per week I work out, and what my workout routine consists of.  It is very hard to find the time between 3 kids and work to exercise, but I know regardless of how it makes me look, I need it in my life to make me feel good as well.  There have been periods of time for different reasons that I go without working out and I start to become lethargic, tired, and a bit grouchy.  Anyway, with that being said, I usually try to workout sometime in the morning while the boys are at school.  I have tried, I mean really tried the whole 6:00 am work out so it would not cut into my day and I just can’t do it!!
Here is my weekly routine
Monday:  Cardio Fit Group Class ( 45 min)  I am a member of Sunstone Yoga Studio here in Dallas, and along with yoga they offer high intensity cardio/weight classes.  The membership per month is cheaper than most gyms and I absolutely love their classes.
Tuesday:  Tennis ( 1.5 hours of Drills w/ my team)  I grew up playing tennis, so it has always been a part of my life. I am lucky to be able to include that as part of what I do to stay healthy.  For everyone out there who is interested in picking up tennis, as a beginner you don’t feel like you get a great workout, but once you have some experience the intensity and pace increases and it really becomes a complete full body workout.

Wednesday:  Core Fit Group Class (45min) Another class I love at Sunstone.  This one focuses on Core.
Thursday:  Right now this is a day off, but during tennis season I play matches Thursday mornings. They usually last 1.5 to 2 hours.  Yes, this is a big time suck but I can’t imagine my life without tennis, so enough said πŸ™‚
Friday:  Hot Yoga ( 60 min)  Sunstone.  After a full week of working out it feels great to be in a hot room and stretch for an hour!
Saturday:  Day off!!!
Sunday:  If the stars align, Mark and I usually try to play some tennis for about an 1.5 Sunday morning.  My oldest is in Sunday school and the littles have fun at the kids club while we play.
With all of that said, a big part of how you look is what you eat!  I am horrible at this part of it.  Honestly with all the working out I do, I can eat whatever I want and feel fine… but I won’t look fine! My problem area, especially after having 3 kids is my core, and unfortunately that is all about what you eat.  I am really bad about not eating little meals or snacks because I get too busy so then when I eat lunch and dinner, my portions are HUGE!
This is the part my best friend Andrea helps me out with.  Now this girl has it going on with her workout and diet routine!  She teaches fitness classes at a few local gyms and is a Beach Body coach as well.  As you can see from above, I have the same workout routine from week to week which works for me, but she gets me back on track with my eating and meal planning.  If you do need help with a workout routine, she is amazing at that as well.  She coaches through small private facebook groups so you don’t have to live in Dallas to use her program which is a major perk as well.  Here is the link to her page.  If anything I suggest following her for the motivation!
Now… who else feels more motivated to workout with new workout clothes?  My hand is raised!  My current favorites are below.

Have a great weekend!
