Happy Tuesday friends!!  I haven’t done a workout post in over a year so it’s definitely time for one since my routine has changed since then!  Plus, I’ve been getting quite a few questions about it.  And thanks ya’ll for asking because it makes me feel good 🙂  For those that have followed me for some time, you know that I was an athlete growing up and through high school.  I was a tennis player, so being active has always been important to me and I have really never not worked out in some type of way… even in collage!  Anyyyway – here is my current routine.

Mon – 4.5 mile run in the neighborhood.  Running is new for me! I loved running when I was younger and am sooo glad to have picked this up.  I can push myself because I have no choice .. gotta get back home right?  I have never been a workout class or video type of person for this reason.  I feel like it is too easy to slack.  With running I can compete with my previous times and I also think “the faster I get back home, this will be over” haha.  Right now I am running 4.5 miles at about a 9m 20s pace, so this is about a 40 min workout.

Tues – If I have time I run a quick 2 miles – I can do this in just over 15 min so love that it doesn’t take much of my day.

Wed – Ride the Peloton.  I ride for 20 min then do 10 min of arms

Thurs – 4.5 mile run – same route as Monday, I really like it right now.  Then I come home and do 10 min of arms ( I use the Peleton video for arms and just stand next to the bike) . So this is my longest workout of the week.

Fri – Day off!

Sat – Day off!

Sun – I get to play tennis!! YAY!  I play/drill for an hour and a half .  Of course this my favorite workout of the week and I am trying to figure out how to get one more day in.

As far as my diet goes, during the week I try to eat somewhat healthy.  I literally eat the same thing for breakfast every morning no matter what.. and I have been eating this exact same thing for years!  2 scrambled eggs, and 1 slice of ezekiel raison cinnamon bread with peanut butter on top.  Around 10:00 I have a bar for a snack.  Lunch is always random, ya’ll know I eat Chipolte at least once a week.  Today I am having sausage and veggies leftover that Mark made.  I do typically try to stay away from carbs or bad carbs at lunch.  I usually have almonds or another bar for snack in the afternoon.  Dinner is also a toss up.. but usually involves a carb  so that is why I try to stick to the healthier stuff during the day!  The key for me at dinner is just not to over eat the unhealthy stuff.  I also stay away from all sweets during the week.  Oh except for my daily regular coke on ice & sugar in my coffee 🙂

Now with all of that said, when the weekend comes.. I eat whatever the heck I want Saturday and Sunday hahaha.  I should probably only have 1 cheat day but meh, I am good with 2!
