Happy Wednesday friends!  When Nordstrom asked me to write a trend post, I of course jumped at the idea.  Nordstrom has the best fall and winter trends and since sweater dresses are one of the biggest trends this season, I decided to show this black sweater dress worn two ways.

The best part about shopping Nordstrom trends is that you can find amazing deals! My dress is less than $50, camel coat is just over $100, and plaid scarf is under $30.  Now, lets talk about how to style a sweater dress with some of the latest trends!

Sweater dresses can be worn with over the knee boots,  an oversized scarf,  a cape/poncho or with simply a coat & no scarf …. honestly you can’t go wrong!  A helpful tip to stay in line with the trends —  If you decide to top off a sweater dress with a coat, make sure it is about the same length.  I would go longer versus shorter because chances are they won’t be the exact length.  Accomplishing this would make your sweater dress right on trend and extremely flattering!  Also, it doesn’t have to be a “sweater” dress to achieve this kind of look.  Any short dress or skirt paired with a coat, scarf, poncho/cape, and over the knee boots will work!
